The University taught me about life and love.

My undergraduate experience at The University of Scranton was unforgettable, and the memories created with the people I met will be everlasting in my mind.  It was my first day of Freshman year, and I was walking down Linden Street to Hyland Hall when a friend introduced me to someone named Colin Lengyel.  Colin was very animated and kept talking to me until I realized I was already 5 minutes late to one of my first classes!  Later that week, he was in another one of my classes and was just as excited to see me.  Throughout our Sophomore and Junior years, we would see each other at the most random times and always caught up with what was going on in a matter of minutes.

That all changed the first week of our Senior years when we shared many of the same classes.  Colin was alsways the whiz when it came to finance classes, and was always willing to help me- day or night!  Unbeknowst to me, he would complete his homework before our study group, just so he could help me when I had trouble.  The first semester turned into the second semester, and we continued to spend more and more time together as friends.

After graduation, I moved to Pittsburgh and Colin began a job in the Scranton area.  It wasn't until a chilly fall day in October when I came into town and met Colin for lunch that I began to see him in a different light.  We began dating after a New Years trip to Sugarbush, Vermont in January 2010.  Colin proposed to me on September 21, 2010 and we set our wedding date for September 22, 2012.  After celebrating our first wedding anniversary, I couldn't be more thankful for all that The University taught me about life and love.
